Kenya Army’s Colonel (Father) George Maingi on Friday 3rd September 2021, held a leadership mentorship session at St Jude Catholic Pre-Primary and Primary School in Donholm Nairobi.
Col (Fr) Maingi honoured the invite by the school’s leadership, led by the headteacher Sister Maria Wilmer, to be the Chief Guest during a ceremony for the inauguration of new prefects.
During the ceremony, Col (Fr) Maingi bestowed the leadership badges to the newly-elected Students’ President John Mark and Deputy President Zitan Wangari.
He congratulated the two and encouraged them to endeavour being leaders in their other spheres of life after school. He further emphasized on discipline hard work and team work as the key qualities to success.
Sister Maria thanked Colonel Father Maingi and the KDF leadership for their continued mentorship programme to school students.
KDF continues to interact with the youth who are the future leaders in various mentorship programs across the country.
