KDF troops stationed at Kenya Army Corps of Aviation (KACA), led by Col Antony Maina, today took part in various Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) activities for the various schools located at Embakasi.
The drive was geared towards fostering better relations with the students. Additionally, it served to build confidence and instil within the soldiers a sense of comradeship between them and the local community.
During the event, the KDF soldiers encouraged the pupils to do their best and wished the soon to be candidates all the best in their forthcoming examinations. The one-day CIMIC initiative also included the distribution of sports kits and sanitary towels.
These schools include Embakasi Garisson Primary School, Embakasi Garrison Secondary School and Kayole Primary School.
To mark the end of the occasion, a friendly sports match was also held between Embakasi Garisson Primary and Kayole Primary School with both teams rocking sports kits branded KDF DAY 2023 to highlight the upcoming KDF Day celebrations.
