KACT MENTORSHIP REACHES OUT

Kenya Army Corps of Transport (KACT) Welfare Team conducted a mentorship visit to Ndururuno Primary School, Huruma on 11 November 2021.

The visit targeted class 4 to 8 girls who are likely to miss or drop out of school due to lack of sanitary towels.

KACT offered mentorship programmes by military pychologist from Nairobi Regional Hospital who reinforced to the pupils on the importance of education, encouraged them to refrain from engaging in drug abuse, joining gangs, general discipline and on dangers of early pregnancies.

During the visit KACT Welfare Team donated assorted hygiene materials such as Sanitary towel/pads, boxers for boys, pants for girls, soaps, Tissue rolls, jellys.

Mrs Muturi, the Head Teacher, thanked the KACT fraternity for empowering the students appreciated support offered by KDF concerning welfare issues.

The visit is a way of giving back to the society, creating good relationship and supporting the needy in the community.
