COMMANDER KENYA NAVY VISITS SAILORS AT SHIMONI MARSS STATION

Major General Jimson Mutai, Commander Kenya Navy today paid a visit to sailors at Shimoni Maritime Surveillance Squadron (MARSS) Station in Kwale County.

The Commander’s visit intended to bolster military morale of the sailors while conveying his message for the festive season.

In his address to the sailors, Maj Gen Mutai emphasized the importance of high level training, superior equipment and support to the sailors. He assured the sailors that Kenya Navy will operate as one force with one mission to achieve the mandate of protecting the country’s territorial waters.

Maj Gen Mutai also emphasized the importance of maintaining strong security awareness and alertness especially during this festive season.

Present during the visit was Kenya Navy Headquarters Chief of Operations Colonel Michael Atodonyang, Commanding Officer MARSS Station Lieutenant Colonel Simon Mbuya, Officers and Service Members.
