12TH EAC EXERCISE ‘USHIRIKIANO IMARA’ 2022 CLINIC KICKS OFF IN UGANDA

The 12th EAC Field Training Exercise dubbed, ‘Ushirikiano Imara’ 2022 exercise clinic was officially launched on 30 May 2022 by Uganda People’s Defence Forces Military Police Commandant Major General Don Nabasa in Jinja, Uganda.

The clinic, scheduled to run from 30th May to 2nd June, is meant to familiarize member state participants with the framework of togetherness in achieving set goals for the Field Training Exercise.

This year’s exercise has drawn participants from the six East Africa Community partner states; Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda and the newly integrated Democratic Republic Of Congo.

The Kenyan Contingent led by Brigadier Benard Korir, comprises of Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) troops, National Police Service (NPS), Immigration and Ministry of Foreign Affairs(MFA) and a Civilian Component from various government ministries.

Present During the event were Exercise Deputy Head of Mission Amb Hellen Gichuhi, Exercise Chief Evaluator Brigadier Jeremiah Maroko, Police Contingent Commander Police Commissioner Sarah Dancun, Senior Officer, Officers, Service Members, Police and Civilian Component.
