BC MAB RALLIES SPITFIRE FC FOR DIVISION ONE SUCCESS

This week, Brigadier Bernard Oluoch, the Base Commander Moi Air Base (MAB), unveiled Spitfire FC at the MAB Stadium ahead of the 2024/2025 Division One Football League season.

Spitfire FC, currently in Division One—the third tier of the national football league—finished 5th out of 18 teams last season and claimed victory in the BORA Cup.

In his address, Brigadier Oluoch congratulated the team for their achievements and urged them to strive for promotion to the National Super League (NSL) this season.

Lieutenant Colonel Frank Otiso, the Commanding Officer at MAB, encouraged the players to represent the Kenya Air Force and Kenya Defence Forces with pride, wishing them success in the new season.

The event concluded with a friendly match, where Spitfire FC drew 2-2 against Shofco Mathare FC.

Spitfire FC’s participation in the national leagues plays a crucial role in nurturing talent, providing players with greater exposure and competition. It also fosters community pride and inspires younger generations to pursue excellence both in sports and their professional careers.
