On October 31, 2024, a medical team from The Kenya Navy Hospital (TKNH) provided vital support to children with special needs at the Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Association of Kenya in Likoni, Mombasa.
The team, comprising specialists in physiotherapy, psychology, medicine, public health, and nutrition, joined forces with Kenya Navy (KN) sailors to deliver critical healthcare services.
During the outreach, the team distributed essential medical supplies, including medications and diapers, tailored to meet the health needs of the children.
Beyond healthcare, Kenya Navy personnel took part in organizing and cleaning the facility, creating a nurturing environment for the children and their families.
This initiative is part of Kenya Navy’s broader community-focused activities leading up to its 60th Anniversary in December.
Through these acts of service, the Kenya Navy underscores its commitment to uplifting communities and building a future where inclusivity and compassion are at the forefront.
