GUARD OF HONOUR FOR PRESIDENT RAMAPHOSA

H.E William Ruto, PhD, President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces today received H.E Cyril Ramaphosa, President of South Africa in a colorful ceremony at State House, Nairobi.

President Ramaphosa was accorded a 21-gun salute by Kenya Navy before inspecting a Guard of Honor mounted by Kenya Air Force.

Present during the reception was Chief of the Defence Forces, General Robert Kibochi and the Service Commanders.

Thereafter, President Ramaphosa, laid a wreath of flowers at the mausoleum of the Republic of Kenya’s Founding Father and First President H.E the Late Mzee Jomo Kenyatta.

Kenya Air Force personnel conducted a troop in line parade as the Kenya Air Force Band played the national anthems of the two countries.

The laying of the wreath ceremony saw the playing of Last Post, Reveille and Observance of one-minute silence as well as prayers from Kenya Air Force Chaplaincy.

President Ramaphosa was escorted by the Speaker National Assembly Honorable (Hon) Moses Wetangula together with Commander Kenya Air Force Major General John Omenda.
