PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION DELEGATION VISITS KENYA SHIPYARD LIMITED

A delegation comprising of 25 personnel from the Public Service Commission of Kenya (PSC), on 8th June 2022, visited the Kenya Shipyard Limited (KSL), Mombasa Shipyard in Mombasa County.

The delegation, led by the PSC Chairperson Amb. Anthony Mwaniki Muchiri, paid a courtesy call on Commander Kenya Navy Major General Jimson Mutai at the Kenya Navy Headquarters, Mtongwe Base.

Later, KSL Managing Director Brig Paul Otieno briefed the delegation on the different operations and capabilities of the Shipyard, the services it provides as well as its benefits to Kenya Navy and the Government of Kenya at large. The delegation was also taken on a guided tour of the Shipyard.

KSL plays an instrumental role in addressing the Government’s main agenda of optimal utilization and harnessing of blue economy as well as boosting maritime security and safety through ship building, repairing and refitting of Kenya Navy Fleet vessels.
