KDF RECRUITMENT EXERCISE CONTINUES AT THE NATIONAL YOUTH SERVICE (NYS)

The KDF recruitment drive for the National Youth Service (NYS) personnel commenced at the NYS HQ in Ruaraka. The exercise attracted over 2000 candidates, as the nationwide recruitment exercise enters the second and the last week.

The NYS recruitment drive seeks to enlist tradesmen and women with technical courses among them plant operators, mechanics, technicians, electricians, plumbers, masons, carpenters, road pavers, road spreaders among others. The exercise shall also recruit general duties candidates without any trade, where all successful candidates shall join the Recruits Training College (RTS) in Eldoret next month.

Colonel Victor Mburu, the Senior Recruiting Officer of the NYS recruitment category affirmed that NYS is a military reserve where they tap manpower to complement their work whenever a need arises. He emphasized that the exercise is free, fair and transparent to all eligible Kenyan candidates.

The recruitment exercise at NYS will end on Wednesday 24 November 2021.
