Kenya Defence Forces personnel on Thursday, 14 July 2022, responded to a road traffic accident along Nairobi-Thika Super Highway. The accident involved a fuel truck that overturned after hitting a footbridge at Roysambu and a canter that rammed into the fuel truck.
The petroleum truck overturned causing fuel spillage on the road.
Defence Forces Constabulary fire department, Kahawa was dispatched to help spray foam on the scene preventing any fire outbreak incident.
The two vehicles were successfully recovered from the scene.
KDF remains committed to assisting civil authorities in situations of emergency or disaster.
