General Officer Commanding Eastern Command (GOC EASTCOM), Major General Juma Mwinyikai visited Mariakani Garisson, Kilifi County. This is part of the end year tour to EASTCOM Formations and Units.
During his address, GOC EASTCOM conveyed his message of best wishes to the troops during the end of year festive season. He praised the soldiers for their dedication, patriotism and service throughout the year, mentioning that every soldier should endeavor to set high standards in professionalism, discipline and dedication, urging them to perform better in the coming year.
Maj Gen Mwinyikai also emphasized on discipline as the pivot for a professional force. He further urged the troops to remain vigilant especially during this festive season since security threats spike in such periods.
“Discipline is the anchor that will enable you perform optimally as a soldier resulting in skilled output and a professional force. In so doing KDF will realize a strong force and Chief of Defence Forces clarion call “One Force, One Mission”.
Commander Mariakani Garrison, Brigadier Douglas Mokwena, expressed his appreciation to the troops domiciled in the Garrison, emphasizing on the importance of professionalism in fostering a positive and collaborative working environment. He further took the opportunity to wish them best wishes in the festive season and the New Year.
