Kenya Army troops from the 25th Mechanized Infantry Battalion, operating in the Diff area and led by Officer Commanding (OC) Captain Benard Too, recently carried out Civil-Military Cooperation activities in Gurati Village, Wajir County.
The troops provided water to the residents of Gurati, who have been severely affected by an ongoing drought in the region. They also engaged in Key Leadership Engagement (KLE) sessions with the village leaders, led by Mr. Farah Nuur. The village elders expressed their gratitude to the Kenya Defence Forces for their ongoing efforts to mitigate the challenges caused by extreme weather conditions.
During the event, Captain Too emphasized the importance of collaboration to maintain security in the region. The local community, through their leadership, assured the troops of their commitment to working together to foster a peaceful environment.
