VICE CHIEF OF THE DEFENCE FORCES COMMISSIONS KAHAWA GARRISON LEVEL II HOSPITAL

Vice Chief of the Defence Forces (VCDF) Lieutenant General Francis Ogolla on Wednesday ,15 June 2022 presided over the commissioning of the Kahawa Garrison Level II Hospital at the Kahawa Garrison, Nairobi County.

The Level II Hospital has been elevated from the Medical Reception Station (MRS) level which has been offering health care services to the military personnel since 1964. The state of-the-art hospital is critical in providing a wide range of specialised health services including outpatient and inpatient services to the KDF personnel, their dependents and veterans. The facility also has a well-equipped maternity wing which will be critical in providing maternal health care.

During the opening, the VCDF was also led on a tour of the 35-bed capacity facility. The visits were to the Out-Patient Department, In-Patient Department, Ultra-Modern Administration Block, Eye Care Department and the Maternity Wing.

The VCDF was accompanied by KDF’s Director of Medical Services Major General (Dr) George Ng’ang’a, Military Wives of Kenya (MWAK) Chairperson Mrs Tabitha Kibochi among other senior military officers and MWAK representatives.
