The Vice Chief of the Defence Forces (VCDF) Lieutenant General Francis Ogolla on Thursday 27 April 2023 chaired a regular College Control Board Meeting of the Joint Command and Staff College (JCSC) in Karen, Nairobi. The College Control Board is the governing body that is responsible for the overall administration of JCSC. The meetings are conducted every 6 months and this was the second meeting of financial year 2022/23. The meeting was updated on the College’s progress on the ongoing courses, plans for the upcoming courses/events and areas of administration that may require policy guidance.
The college aims to develop the militaty professional knowledge and skills of student officers. Additionally, as a College of the National Defence University – Kenya (NDU-K) it offers both ordinary and post-graduate diplomas in Defence and Strategic Studies. The College will graduate the ongoing Senior Joint Command and Staff Course Number 38-2022/2023 at the end of May 2023.
