SENIOR JOINT COMMAND AND STAFF COURSE VISIT TO WESTERN COMMAND

The Senior Joint Command and Staff Course Students of Course 39-2023/24 visited Western Command Headquarters in Gilgil on 19 February 2024 and were hosted by the General Officer Commanding Western Command Maj Gen J M Nyaga.

The aim of the visit was to familiarise the course participants with the set-up, organisation and functions of a Joint Task Force Headquarters in the field. The Course participants were accompanied by the Deputy Commandant/Chief Instructor Brig F Lobally and the members of the faculty.

The GOC noted and appreciated that key Western Command appointments are filled by JCSC graduates as the College equips the officers to perform Operational and Staff functions. The GOC reiterated the centrality of Joint Operations in the ever evolving, complicated and dynamic security environment.
