SELECTED GSO CADET CANDIDATES REPORT TO KENYA MILITARY ACADEMY

The General Service Officers (GSO) cadet candidates, selected during the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) country-wide recruitment exercise in November 2021, reported to Kenya Military Academy (KMA) over last weekend.

Defence Headquarters Chief of Personnel (DHQ COP) Brigadier Elijah Gatere and the Chairperson of the Reception and Selection Board Brigadier Juma Mwinyikai received the Cadets.

The cadets will undergo document verification, medical tests, written academic and essay writing tests, mental, physical and confidence assessment as well as group work and teamwork tests.

Successful GSO Cadets will undergo approximately three years of fundamental military training upon whose completion they will commission with a degree in Bachelor of Military Science and Security Studies before reporting to their respective units and bases for further specialized training and deployment.
