The Principal Secretary for Defence Mr. Patrick Mariru today made an inspection tour of the ongoing maintenance works at the Parliament buildings in Nairobi.
The Proposed National Assembly Long Recess 2023/24 Maintenance Works which kicked off on 22 December 2023, is conducted by the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) on behalf of the National Assembly and is set for completion by the end of January 2024.
The Ministry of Defence remains steadfast in discharging its Constitutional mandate of assisting and cooperating with other civil authorities whenever called upon.
The PS was in the company of the Chief of Infrastructure at Defence Headquarters Brigadier Titus Sokobe who is the project manager and other senior officials from the Ministry of Defence.
