The Chairperson, Board of Management (BOM) Members and Parents of Moi Forces Academy – Lanet on 03 February 2023 oversaw a handover ceremony between the outgoing Principal Mrs. Jedidah Mwangi and the incoming Principal Mrs. Mary Njogu at the school in Lanet, Nakuru County.
Mrs. Jedidah Mwangi has been the Principal at Moi Forces Academy – Lanet since 2020 and has been transferred to Alliance Girls High School while her successor, Mrs. Mary Njogu has been heading Gateru Girls High School.
During the handover ceremony, the Chairperson of the BOM who is also the General Officer Commanding Western Command Major General David Tarus thanked the outgoing Principal for her commitment and hard work for steering the school to greater heights of success; efforts that have made the school to be an academic giant in the country.
Major General Tarus also welcomed the incoming principal and urged her to build on the successes registered by her predecessor which include upholding the core values used in governing the School. He further assured her of the full support from the BOM and the Kenya Defence Forces at large.
Nakuru County Director of Education Mr. Fred Osewe who presided over the handover ceremony, urged both principals to ensure that the standards and quality of education offered in the institutions are up to the set standards by the Ministry of Education.
After the handover ceremony, Major General Tarus inspected the ongoing construction projects in the School.
