METROPOLITAN CATHOLIC TRIBUNAL ANNUAL MEETING

The Metropolitan Catholic Tribunal that comprises representatives from Archdiocese of Nairobi, Ngong, Machakos, Wote, Kitui, Nakuru, and Kericho today, hosted their annual meeting at the Defence Headquarters (DHQ) in Nairobi today.

The Bishop Ngong Diocese, Bishop John Obala Owaa, was received by the Assistant Chief of Defence Forces in charge of Personnel and Logistics (ACDF P&L) Major General David Ketter.

In his opening remarks, ACDF P&L Major General Ketter warmly expressed gratitude to the Military Ordinariate on behalf of the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) fraternity. He acknowledged the unique role that they play in the community, saying their presence embodies discipline, which is highly esteemed.

He further extended his well wishes to them, stating, “I wish you fruitful deliberations as a tribunal, a pleasant experience as our clergy and a peaceful environment as you embark on this important meeting.”

Later, the clergy were taken on a tour of the ongoing construction of the new cathedral within the camp.

Present during the meeting were, the Apostolic Administrator Military Ordinariate of Kenya Lt Col (Fr) John Njeru, Judicial Vicar Major (Fr) Peter Korir, Pastoral Director Major Dominic Kaburu, and various members of the Metropolitan Catholic Tribunal.
