KENYA ARMY CORPS OF TRANSPORT HOLDS WELFARE SEMINAR & PLANTS TREES

Kenya Army Corps of Transport (KACT) during the week held a four-day welfare seminar at Kahawa Barracks.

The seminar themed ‘Being informed, get involved for better services’ aimed at enlightening military Officers and Service Members on existing welfare support within KDF for them and their families and determining how to best to improve these services.

The seminar concluded with a tree planting exercise within the barracks where over 5,000 assorted fruits and indigenous trees were planted.

KACT Commander, Colonel Mathews Lenamunai said the tree planting exercise aimed at improving the environment within the barracks as part of KDF’s Environmental Soldier programme.

Present at the tree planting exercise were Equity Bank, Kenya Forest Service, Greens of Africa Foundation and Dedan Kimathi Foundation representatives, Officers and Service Members.
