JCSC TREE PLANTING CAMPAIGN LAUNCH

The Commandant Joint Staff and Command College (JCSC) Major General Eric Kinuthia on Thursday 24 November 2022 launched a tree planting campaign in the college.

In his address, the Commandant highlighted the need to be environmentally conscience and taking care of it. He emphasising that, a deliberate effort from everyone in planting more trees would contribute significantly in countering effects of climate change that is causing devastating effects globally.

He also pointed out that the exercise is in line with the Commander-in-Chief’s environmental strategic guidance of planting 5 Billion trees in the next five years.

This program is also pursuant to the KDF Environmental Soldier Program that has been in place for the last two decades in which, all KDF personnel have contributed greatly in greening the nation by consistently planting trees each year.

The exercise will be ongoing during this season of short rains and all the personnel in the college will be involved.
