FRUIT ORCHARD FOR NATIONAL SECURITY TELECOMMUNICATIONS SERVICE AT EMBAKASI GARRISON

National Security Telecommunications Service (NSTS) Multi-Agency personnel, planted over 600 fruit trees within NSTS cantonment in Embakasi Garrison.

The personnel undertook the tree planting exercise in support of the government’s effort to plant 15 billion trees by 2030.
Commander 8th Mechanised Infantry Brigade Brigadier David Chesire flanked by Lt Col Edward Githui of NSTS launched the tree planting exercise and urged the Service Personnel to replicate the efforts outside military cantonments to help in achieving the government’s objectives faster.

The commended NSTS for planting fruit trees and observed that other than addressing the environmental concerns, the service members will enjoy fruits from the fruit orchard in future.

He planted fruit trees include oranges, tangerine, apple mango, golden hash avocado lemon and pomegranate.
