COMMUNITY SERVICE BY THE KENYA MILITARY ACADEMY

Istructors and Cadets of the Kenya Military Academy yesterday conducted a Community Service Activity at John Mututho Empowerment Centre (Jomec). The activity was themed as ‘Exercise Boresha Mazingira’.

The Kenya Military Academy is the Officer Foundational training Centre tasked with Force generation of Officers for the KDF.

The Community Service Program is a tool of Character Development that is a major emphasis in training cadets at the Academy.

The Character Development component of training is in line with the Academy’s mission of being a centre of excellence in foundational Officer training and education. Character Development seeks to produce well rounded Officers to take up leadership roles in the KDF in line with the CDF’s philosophy of “Sharpening the Arrow head and being Mission ready”

The GSO cadets intake 40 Spent the day with clients at the facility aiding them in cleaning, gardening and games. The Cadets also donated assorted foodstuffs and sporting items. Former Nacada Chairman. Hon John Mututho also delivered a lecture on effects of drug and substance abuse.

The exercise was graced by Hon John Mututho, Comdt OCS- Col E W Mbithi, Commanding officer intake 40- Lt Col J K Nzioka and other service personnel from Kenya Military Academy.
