BODHEI COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Kenya Army troops in Bodhei, Lamu County under Operation Amani Boni (OAB), handed over a renovated football pitch to Bodhei Majengo community done by the 4th Field Squadron,10 Engineers Battalion and also distributed clean drinking water to over 70 households located along the LAPSSET corridor.

The Officer Commanding, Major Paul Orenga thanked the community for their support noting that the success of the LAPPSET would benefit the locals now and future generations.

“We’re grateful for your continued support, am urging you maintain the same spirit in this new year and let us endeavor to move our Nation forward,” he said.

The local Chief Mr. Abdallah Ben lauded the troops for the warm gesture. He further expressed his gratitude noting that the kitchen and playing ground will greatly benefit not only learners but the community as a whole.
