The CDF later commissioned a community water project and handed it over to local community leaders at Ole Tarkash Primary School in Narok County. The project with a solar power pump, has a water tower with two tanks each storing 10,000 litres of water.

The project will benefit the local school and 1500 residents from the villages of Ole Tarkash, Osenetoi, and Ngaimurunya. A community elder, Mr Peter Ngoitikio, who doubles as the primary school’s chairperson, thanked the CDF for the community water project, adding that residents as well as their livestock within a 5 kilometre radius will benefit from the project.
