COMMANDER KENYA AIR FORCE VISITS MOMBASA FOB

The Kenya Air Force (KAF) Commander, Major General John Omenda, paid a visit to the Mombasa Forward Operating Base (FOB). This visit, aimed at evaluating operational capabilities and boosting morale among the troops stationed in the coastal region.

Maj Gen. Omenda underscored the KAF’s commitment to maintaining a strong and vigilant stance in the face of evolving regional security challenges. The visit served as an opportunity for the commander to engage with service personnel, acknowledging their dedication and sacrifices in ensuring that the nation’s airspace is secure at all times.

During the visit, the Commander KAF conducted a comprehensive review of the base’s operational readiness. This involved inspecting crucial infrastructure to ensure optimal functionality. Additionally, he held discussions with key military personnel to assess ongoing operations, challenges faced by the troops, and potential areas for improvement.

The commander recognized the sacrifices made by the KAF personnel, especially during the holiday season, and underscored the value placed on their contributions.

“Your contributions are invaluable, and I want to emphasize the profound appreciation we have for the vital role each one of you plays in safeguarding our nation’s security,” He added.

The commander wished the troops a happy new year 2024 and assured them of his support. He was accompanied by Deputy Base Commander Moi Air Base, Colonel Herbert Wafula, senior officers and officers. In attendance were Mombasa FOB personnel.
