TRAINING TOGETHER FOR A COMMON GOAL

Kenya Signal Company (KENSIG1) deployed under United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo and their friendly Forces, the Indian Battalion, completed a three-day training on crowd dispersal conducted by the Formed Police Unit (FPU).

The training majored on equipping the troops with requisite knowledge, skills and drills to perform during crowd control. It drew a participants from KEN SIG and Indian contingents.

Speaking after the training Maj Prateek Ranjan urged the troops to continue working together for smooth operability saying, “independently, each can’t guarantee its own survival but together we can.”

He also thanked the leadership of the two contingents, the instructors and the troops. ‘‘I appreciate all the instructors for giving us world class training, the drills are exceptional.” And to the participants he stated, ” you have shown great enthusiasm and high morale towards the training”.

Operational officer SP, Rownak Alam also expressed his gratitude to the two Contingents for their unmatched commitment to ensure the training was a success.
