The Commander Kenya Navy, Maj Gen Jimson Mutai on 17 July 2023 officiated over the Opening Ceremony of SJCSC 39-2023/24. The course comprises 90 military officers drawn from KDF and 14 allied countries, it has the highest number of participants so far. The course is aimed at equipping mid level military officers with necessary professional and academic knowledge in preparation for future increased Command and Staff responsibilities.
In his keynote address, Commander Kenya Navy congratulated the course participants on their selection to attend this important career course and extended a warm welcome to the allied students. The Commander reiterated that Kenya and KDF values the cooperation that exists with the allied countries. He urged the participants to freely share experiences and knowledge, especially in light of the current dynamic regional and global security enviroment and suggest possible solutions to tackle the dynamics.
The Commander encouraged the students to remain committed and focused so as to attain the course objectives and expectations during their stay at the College.
