Mozambique’s High Commissioner to Kenya H.E Jeronimo Chivavi paid a courtesy call to the CS Defence on 08 Dec 22. He congratulated the CS for his appointment into the Defence docket.
The CS welcomed him and thanked him for finding it important to visit him. The two discussed the need to finalize the Defence Cooperation Agreement which is currently awaiting inputs from Mozambique.
They discussed common challenges faced by the two countries and by extension the region including Terrorism threat and the need to have collaborative approach in the efforts against terror.
They also acknowledged the reciprocal training being undertaken at officer cadet level where an exchange of 5 students from the respective countries undergo training. Other possible areas of mutual interest discussed included maritime security and maritime domain awareness.
