In his remarks, Colonel Nzioka implored the children to focus on their studies, noting of it’s importance in paving a way towards a brighter future filled with opportunities for self growth. He further encouraged them to pick and learn from fitting role models as in doing so, they stand a better chance in navigating through the many obstacles that life will presents them with.

“It’s not everyday that kindness knocks on our doors here at the children’s home, and because of that, how more auspicious the occasion becomes when it’s KDF representatives who avail themselves. I have no doubt that from your participation, the children stand a better chance at being inspired and will go on to achieve great things,” She said.

Participants also donated various essential personal items to support the children’s well-being in an effort to facilitate their access to the various basic needs at the home.
