The Kenya Quick Reaction Force KEN QRF 2 deployed in the Democratic Republic of Congo under United Nations Organization Stabilisation Mission in Congo (MONUSCO) are conducting dominance patrols, in the general area of Eringeti in Ituri province.
The troops patroled the main supply road between Eringeti town and Komanda so as to deny Allied Defense Forces (ADF) militia freedom of operation while ensuring that there is free and easy movement of goods and services between the two main towns.
ADF operatives have been targeting motorists using the Eringeti -Komanda road carrying out targetted killings and other atrocities.
