On Sunday, 4th September 2022, the Kenya Quick Reaction Force 1 (KENQRF1) Contingent successfully handed over to KENQRF2 in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
During the handover ceremony, KENQRF1 Contingent Commander Colonel Abdi Galgalo handed over the Kenyan flag to KENQRF2 Contingent Commander Lieutenant Colonel David Munoru.
The Kenyan Contingent is part of the Force Intervention Brigade of the United Nations Stabilisation Mission in the DRC, MONUSCO. The Kenyan Contingent is part of collective efforts by MONUSCO in maintenance of international peace and security.
