KENYA ARMY CORPS OF TRANSPORT PLANT TREES IN NJABINI FOREST

Kenya Army Corps of Transport participated in a tree planting exercise at Njabini Forest in Nyandarua County.

The tree planting exercise saw the soldiers plant over 50,000 seedlings as part of KDF’s contribution to improve forest cover in the country.

Tree planting exercises in KDF are anchored on the ‘Environmental Soldier Programme,’ whose aim is to restore and protect the forest cover.

During the exercise, KDF partnered with; Kenya Forest Service, Greens of Africa Foundation, Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company, Nyandarua County Government, Dedan Kimathi Foundation and local area residents.
