KDF PARTNERS WITH VEHICLE MANUFACTURER IN UPGRADING KAHAWA GARRISON GYMNASIUM

Early this week, the Kenya Defence Forces partnered with a vehicle manufacturer to inaugurate a state-of-the-art Social Hall Gymnasium at Kahawa Garrison in Nairobi.

The inauguration ceremony was presided over by the Commander Kenya Army Lt Gen Walter Koipaton accompanied by Isuzu East Africa’s Managing Director Ms Rita Kavashe.

The Commander Kenya Army remarked that the inauguration was a milestone within the path to transforming, improving and sharpening the arrowhead in line with the Chief of the Defence Forces’ Strategic Vision of creating higher levels of mission-readiness.

He further added, “This facility will serve as a morale booster to the KDF fraternity and especially, Kahawa Garrison. The facility is important for soldiers’ welfare, a key pillar in enhancing operational readiness.”

On her part, Ms Kavashe noted that Isuzu East Africa had been honoured to be KDF’s logistics partner by providing a robust Isuzu vehicles that continue to meet the transport requirements of the critical security organisation.

The gymnasium, which can accommodate more than 30 personnel in a single workout session, has weights, aerobics and martial arts training areas.

In attendance during the ceremony were KDF Senior Officers, Isuzu East Africa officials, Officers and Service Members.
