Moi Air Base hosted the Inter discipline forces Taekwondo League today, 22nd November 2023 which ended after fierce competition that saw teams from the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF), General Service Unit (GSU) and National Youth Services (NYS) compete.
At the culmination of the competition, KDF merged the overall winners, with NYS taking the silver and GSU taking the Bronze medal.
Speaking during the event, Base Commander MAB, Brigadier Samuel Kipkorir, thanked all the participants for their dedication to the sport. He noted that it was a clear manifestation of the significant
achievements in the sporting arena and great milestone towards building
a spirit of multi-agency togetherness through Taekwondo sport.
” Such performance is enhanced by good effort put by the entire administration, coaches and athletes. I thank all participants for putting their best skills and enviable competitive spirit in this tournament,” He added.
Also in attendance were members of the Defence Forces Taekwondo Association Executive Committee, Senior officers, officers, service members and team officials of the various teams represented.
