KAHAWA GARRISON TRIUMPHS OVER LAIKIPIA IN CDF BORA CUP VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT

The Commandant School of Infantry (SOI), Brigadier Pascal Kitiro, presided over the closing ceremony of the Chief of Defence Forces’ Bora Cup Volleyball tournament held at Laikipia Air Base (LAB), Nanyuki in Laikipia County.

In the highly contested games, teams drawn from the three Services; Kenya Army, Kenya Air Force, and Kenya Navy participated in the competition.

Kahawa Garrison won the men’s final with Laikipia Air Base securing the runner-up position. In the ladies’ finals, Kahawa Garrison emerged winner while DOD CAU took the runners-up position.

Speaking during the event, Brig Kitiro congratulated all the participants of the event and the selected teams. He appreciated the enhanced competition in comparison to the previous events and commended the efforts of the new teams participating.

Additionally, the Commandants said, “Volleyball is one among many recognized military sports disciplines. This event aimed to strengthen our _esprit de corps_ and competitive attitude.”

In attendance were Senior Officers, Officers, and Service Members.
