JUNIOR JOINT COMMAND AND STAFF COURSE 097/24 OPENING CEREMONY

The Junior Joint Command and Staff Course 097/2024 commenced on 15 January 2024. The 14 weeks course is comprised of 50 officers of the rank of Captain and Major drawn from the three Services of the Kenya Defence Forces. The course is key in professional development of their Military careers and is aimed at equipping the students with requisite knowledge and skills to enable them perform command and staff duties more effectively and efficiently

The opening ceremony was graced by the Commandant Joint Command and Staff College, Maj Gen E M Kinuthia who was accompanied by Senior College Staff. In his keynote address, the Commandant urged the Officers to regularly engage the Directing Staff and all facilitators to maximise on the benefits of the knowledge shared. He emphasised the importance of peer learning, especially stemming from the different experiences and specialisations of the students’ respective Arms and fields.
The Commandant further encouraged the Officers to remain focused and committed in their studies so as to meet both their own and College expectations.
