On 7th March 2024, the Senior Joint Command and Staff College Course number 39- 2023/24 led by the Commandant of the Joint Command and Staff College Maj Gen E M Kinuthia and faculty members visited various Ministries, Departments and Organizations which play a key role in the National economic development. The visits were a follow up to the ones conducted in the Coastal region under the theme; THE NEXUS BETWEEN NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND REGIONAL SECURITY.
On matters food & environmental security, the Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate Service (KEPHIS) at Karen, the Kenya Meat Commission and selected Departments in Ministry of Agriculture & Livestock Development together with Ministry of Environment & Forestry were visited. In the Health Sector, the students paid visits to the Kenya Medical Research Institute and the Ministry of Health. Visits to the Nairobi Securities Exchange, Kenya Vehicle Manufacturers and State Departments in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning and the Ministry of Trade and Industry shed insights of their roles in the economic development of the Nation.
