Base Commander Helicopter Wing Colonel Tobias Vigisa presided over the opening of the Inter Wings Competitions at Sina Makosa grounds in Moi Air Base (MAB), Nairobi.

The week-long football tournament is aimed at identifying and nurturing talents and selecting the MAB team for the forthcoming Chief of the Defence Forces (CDF) Bora Cup challenge.

During the first day of the tournament, three matches were played. This was between the Headquarters Wing (HQ) and Central Supply Depot (CSD), which ended 1-0 in favor of CSD. The second game saw the Technical Wing beat the Kenya Air Force Training Wing (KTW) 1-0.

In the ladies’ match, HQ Wing beat the Technical Maintenance Unit (TMU) 2-0.

On behalf of Base Commander MAB, Col Vigisa encouraged all the participants to give their best.

“You have all the support that you need to make this exercise a success. Interwings competitions have been our tradition for interacting and in the spirit of comradeship, fitness, and even having good health. I want to wish you all the very best,” he said.
