FREE MEDICAL CAMP FOR LARISORO RESIDENTS

Kenya Air Force medics led by Lieutenant Colonel Julius Mghanga this week conducted a free medical camp at Larisoro clinic in Kalama Community Conservancy as part of the African Partnership Flight (APF) program that commenced earlier in the week.

Over 500 residents of Larisoro benefitted from the medical camp where various conditions were treated ranging from dental, eye and malaria. Maternal and other child illnesses were also treated.

Children below six years in the neighboring schools were dewormed while those above six years were given dental care tips and dental kits.

Larisoro clinic was constructed by Kalama Conservancy and is run by the Laikipia County Health Department. To augment the services offered, Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) constructed a maternity unit in 2021 that has helped reduce mother and newborn mortality.
