FOUR DAY STATE VISIT BY PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF HUNGARY

H.E Uhuru Kenyatta, President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces today received H.E János Áder, President of the Republic of Hungary at State House, Nairobi.

He was accorded a 21-gun salute by Kenya Navy before inspecting a Guard of Honor mounted by Kenya Air Force.

Present during the reception was the Chief of the Defence Forces, General Robert Kibochi and the Service Commanders.

Thereafter, President Áder in the company of the First Lady Anita Herczegh, laid a wreath of flowers at the mausoleum of the Republic of Kenya’s Founding Father and First President H.E the Late Mzee Jomo Kenyatta.

Kenya Army personnel from the 7th Battalion, the Kenya Rifles conducted a troop in line parade as the Kenya Army Band played the national anthems of the two countries.

The laying of the wreath ceremony saw the playing of Last Post, Reveille and Observance of one-minute silence as well as prayers from Kenya Army Chaplaincy.

President Áder was escorted by the Commander Kenya Army Lieutenant General Walter Koipaton.
