DEFENCE FORCES FOOTBALL REFEREEING COURSE COMES TO A CLOSE AT MOI AIR BASE

The three (3) week basic coaches course conducted by the Defence Forces Football Association (DFFA) at the Ulinzi Sports Complex came to a close today and saw the graduation of 93 referees and coaches at the Sina Makosa Grounds at Moi Air Base (MAB).

The exercise sponsored by the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) equipped the 93 trainees with skills in basic and advanced refereeing, assesment, interpretation and application of football rules.

Speaking to the graduates, Major Marvin Odindo congratulated the team and the sponsor and encouraged them to nurture talent and diligently deliver their duties. The Chief Executive Officer FKF, Mr.Barry Otieno thanked the KDF for the opportunity to train the match officials and referees, emphasizing their role in making positive addition and change to the football industry.

“I have full confidence that you can competently and comfortably handle matches and with adequate practice you can rise to international levels” he concluded.

Present during the ceremony were officers, service members and FKF officials.
