Defence Cabinet Secretary Hon. Aden Duale has today hosted the Israeli Ambassador to Kenya His Excellency Michael Lotem and officials from Israeli Aerospace Industry (IAI) led by Mr. Shimon Eckhaus who paid him a courtesy visit at the Defence Headquarters.
The CS noted that the two face similar security challenges ranging from terrorism, violent extremism and organized crimes and the need to partner in combating the threats.
Hon. Duale informed the delegation of the continued efforts of the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) in expansion and modernization of its structures to combat modern-day threats.
The CS and the delegation discussed areas of mutual collaboration between the two countries including areas of cyber security, counter Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), border security and training of special forces.
Also present during the meeting, was Defence Principal Secretary Mr. Patrick Mariru
