COMMANDER KENYA NAVY VISITS KENYA NAVY BASE MANDA BAY

Commander Kenya Navy, Major General Jimson Mutai has made a command visit to Kenya Navy Base (KNB) Manda Bay as part of his end of year tour to Kenya Navy Bases and Formations.

During his visit, Major General Mutai was taken on a tour of the various ongoing projects at the base.

Later, Commander Kenya Navy addressed the troops where he emphasized on discipline as the pivot for a professional force. He also urged the troops to remain vigilant especially during this festive season since security threats spike in such periods.

“Discipline is the anchor that will enable you to perform optimally as a soldier resulting in skilled output and a professional force. In so doing, Kenya Navy will realize a strong force and its mission, true to the Chief of the Defence Forces clarion call of “One force, one mission.”

He also used the opportunity to convey his message of best wishes to the troops during the end of year festivities.

KNB Manda Bay is a show-side base and pivotal launch pad to various Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) operations on sea, land and air.

Present during the visit was Brigadier Thomas Ng’ang’a, Commander KNB Manda Bay, Colonel Charles Mugo, Deputy Commander Special Operations Force Command, Senior Officers, Officers and Service Members.
