Commander Kenya Army Lieutenant General David Tarus visited troops in Western Command from 18th – 20th December 2024. The visit was aimed at reviewing the year’s activities with a view to building on the successes while developing viable solutions to the challenges encountered.
The Commander also took the opportunity to convey CDF General Kahariri’s message of goodwill ahead of the festive season and appreciated the troops’ selflessness and unwavering dedication to duty.
“Majority of you will not get an opportunity to be with families during the forthcoming festive season, but rest assured that your sacrifices are seen, felt and deeply appreciated,” noted Lt Gen Tarus as he encouraged them to ensure effective communication with families to achieve a balanced life.
He further emphasized the importance of continuous individual and collective training so as to maintain a high level of professionalism in their future assignments.
Formations and Units joined the Commander in paying tribute to the fallen heroes at their respective monuments as they together reflected on the sacrifices that troops continue to make to keep our country safe.
Accompanying the Commander were General Officer Commanding Western Command (GOC WESTCOM) Major General Jeff Nyaga, Formation Commanders and Commanding Officers of the region.
