To assure the locals and provide credible information on the current security trends, a Joint Bureau drawn from Ad Hoc Verification Mechanism (AVM), Expanded Joint Verification Mechanism (EJVM), EAC Monitoring and Verification Mechanism (EAC MVM) and the Kenyan Contingent conducted a verification exercise at KIBUMBA environs in Eastern DRC.
The areas of focus were confirmation of violations and peace process progress. Independent monitoring, Verification and reporting by security actors promote trust and positive credible reporting for sound mitigation measures.
KENCON’s efforts towards peace and stability remain a priority and the contingent calls for all other actors to rally for collective effort in the provision of citizen-centric security.
