CDF VISITS KENYA NAVY SAILORS

The Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) General Robert Kibochi on Thursday, 16 December 2021 addressed Kenya Navy personnel during his tour to Kenya Navy Base, Mtongwe.

In his address, the CDF appreciated the resilience of the troops as they maintained operational readiness and urged them to always be mission ready in defending Kenya’s territorial integrity as enshrined in the Kenyan Constitution.

He assured the troops of continued support from the Defence Headquarters towards improving the Kenya Navy capability. He further said, “We are looking at improving our sea lift capability to continue supporting our troops in operations with logistics.”

He also visited The Kenya Navy Hospital (TKNH) where he acquainted himself on the facility’s current capability in line with ongoing improvement of the soldiers’ welfare that includes their family.

“TKNH has minimized health expenses by reducing number of referral cases to private hospitals, provide prompt medicare to her personnel thus boosting convenience and comfort of patients which in turn ensures the service personnel are healthy and remain mission ready,” said the CDF.
