Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Meru, Right Reverend Salesios Mugambi on Tuesday, 12th April 2022 paid a courtesy call on Chief of the Defence Forces General Robert Kibochi and, presided over the Chrism Mass at Saint Peter and Paul Catholic Church at the Defence Headquaters (DHQ) in Nairobi.

The Bishop performed the blessing of the oil of the sick and the oil of the catechumen as well as the consecration of the oil of the Chrism

In his sermon, Right Reverend Mugambi encouraged all present to pray and encourage each other, not only during this holy week but as a daily habit that will bring peace and blessings among men.

“We must always remind ourselves to be faithful and truthful in all our ways. It is fault for man to forget and only remember God’s grace and mercies when in need. We need now more than ever to be each other’s keeper and hold hands along the straight path,” he preached.

Apostolic Administrator Military Ordinariate, Colonel (Fr) Maswili urged congregants to draw nearer to God as they observe the holy week and to not forget to include in prayers, their brothers and sisters in the military as they continue with the honorable duty of protecting and defending the Country.

Among the clergy was Pastoral Director Military Ordinariate, Colonel (Fr) Maingi and priests from other KDF Formations and bases.
