ARCHER’S POST CARES: A MEDICAL COMPASSION DRIVE

Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) medical personnel from Kenya Army Medical Corps (KAMC) and the United States Army medical team participating in the multinational exercise codenamed Exercise Justified Accord 2024 in Nanyuki, today 1st March 2024 joined forces to offer free medical services to the residents of Samburu County at the Archer’s Post Sub-County Hospital.

The residents received free access to a range of healthcare services, including consultations with doctors, basic medical check-ups, and treatment for common ailments. This initiative has proved significant for individuals who may not have regular access to pharmacies or healthcare facilities. Additionally, essential medications were provided for various health conditions.

Speaking during the exercise, Lieutenant Colonel Juma Omar, the head of the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) medical team emphasized the importance of providing free medical services to residents highlighting the collaborative efforts between the KDF and the U.S. Army in addressing immediate health needs, promoting well-being, and fostering goodwill within the community.

The community members conveyed their sincere appreciation for the invaluable medical assistance and acknowledged the commendable joint efforts of the forces in enhancing healthcare accessibility. The medical facility witnessed a significant influx of residents seeking medical aid, including those from nearby villages who availed themselves of the services provided.

The medical outreach was dedicated to improving well-being, addressing immediate health needs, and promoting long-term health awareness in the community. This commendable initiative showcased the power of international cooperation and humanitarian support to the local communities.
